香港这次夺得5奖项、马来西亚夺得1奖、台湾夺得5奖、大陆则是囊括14奖，许多网友眼见得奖结果，直言台湾这次落败有2原因：「电影题材局限」、「电影人材有断层」，必须要重新检讨自己，「不认输就会一直输」，也有人认为台湾拥有金马奖这种国际级的大型颁奖典礼非常骄傲，2016年颁奖结果也是个警示，希望台湾可以持续改进，2017年逆转窘境。
